I'm on board!

Who is affected?

Seal hunting communities that have always been concerned about animal welfare, balanced ecosystems, the preservation of living species and preserving ways of life.

Seal hunting communities now proclaim that they respect the environment, animals and humankind and call upon interested non-governmental organizations; environmental groups; animal protection groups; hunting, fishing and trapping federations; experts; and scientists to support the Declaration and its principles by joining the coalition for the ethical seal harvest.

This international appeal is directed to all countries where seal populations must be monitored in the interest of protection (species preservation), ecosystem health and preserving the quality and way of life of Aboriginal and coastal peoples. The countries are:

  • Denmark (Greenland) Denmark (Greenland)
  • Estonia Estonia
  • Finland Finland
  • Iceland Iceland
  • Latvia Latvia
  • Lithuania Lithuania
  • Norway Norway
  • United Kingdom United Kingdom
  • Sweden Sweden
